Family Fun at the Taylor-Bray Farm
Get outside and make family memories during school vacation week!
For families with students ages 5-12, please join teacher naturalist Andrea Higgins and a farm volunteer at Taylor-Bray Farm to learn all about the animals that live here, their care routines, and about the native plants and wildlife surrounding the property. Begin your adventure with a tour of the farm and an introduction to its many furry residents. Then, discover salt marshes and the birds and animals that rely on this special habitat, including the mighty osprey. Make fun vacation memories with your family in the company of chickens, goats, sheep, and cattle.
This program is geared toward students ages 5-12 who must be accompanied by a parent, grandparent, or other caregiver.
Pack lunch and enjoy a picnic at the farm for more family fun after the program!

Andrea Higgins has been leading walks with Harwich Conservation Trust since fall 2021. She received a Kripalu Mindful Outdoor Guide Certification in 2019 and was a Teacher Naturalist with Audubon for 12 years. Andrea is CPR and Wilderness First Aid Certified. As a program leader with the Town of Barnstable since 2014, she led Sandy Neck Junior Rangers and currently leads Outdoor Adventures. A big fan of aquaculture, Andrea is an oyster farmer in Barnstable Harbor and Deputy Shellfish Warden and Propagation Technician with the Town of Chatham. Andrea holds a U.S. Coast Guard Master Captain license and holds a Level 1 and Level 2 Wildlife Tracking Certificate from Bob Metcalfe and the American Outdoor School. Andrea is also a Marine Mammal Rescue and Research Responder with IFAW.
