QiGong and Mindfulness Nature Retreat

Grounded in Awe

Enhance your awareness and peace of mind at Coy’s Brook Woodlands with Andrea Higgins (Kripalu Certified Mindful Outdoor Guide) and Andrea Belford (QiGong Instructor, capecodqigong.org).

Mindfully walk forested trails featuring pines, oaks, maples, beech trees, and Atlantic white cedars, pausing to enjoy views of the marsh and meandering Herring River.

Once we’ve engaged our senses, we will enjoy a QiGong session based on the element of Wood. This ancient Chinese practice means 'the practice of cultivating life force energy.' We will follow a series of slow and gentle movements combining proper posture, healthy breathing, and mindfulness, to promote health, healing, and vitality of the body, mind, and spirit. The Wood element helps us feel grounded by focusing on strength and flexibility, like a tree, as well as longevity.

Tune in to your senses, leave your stresses behind, and feel the vital life force energy that flows through us, and all living things.
