Owl Prowls with Peter Trull

Please join us at Bell's Neck Conservation Lands for a nocturnal foray into the Cape’s woodlands to attempt to hear and possibly see Eastern Screech Owls in the darkness of pre-dawn. Field Naturalist and author Peter Trull will attempt to vocally call in Eastern Screech Owls, often affording good observations of these silent winged predators.  This winter program will be fun and cold, so please dress warmly. Keep in mind that this program may be no more than a cold walk in winter darkness, as owls don’t always respond, but when they do, it’s an unforgettable thrill.

Program will be cancelled in wind.

Peter Trull has been involved in Research and Education for over 45 years. He holds a Master’s Degree in Education and has written nine books about Cape Cod natural history. His most recent book Birds of Paradox-The Life of Terns was released in spring 2019. His upcoming book, Cape Cod – Once Around the Sun, is a tribute to John Hay and his 1961 classic Nature’s Year.
