October Cold Brook Birding Walks

Please join us at the beautiful Cold Brook Preserve this fall to search for birds of all species darting through the foliage. Birds are on the move in October and November during post breeding dispersal. Migratory species are passing through and pausing to fuel up before continuing their lengthy journeys. Westerly winds and weather fronts bring birds to Cape Cod that may only be spotted in this region in fall and early winter. Field Naturalist and walk leader Peter Trull will immerse you into the life of birds while teaching about species identification, unique adaptations, and behaviors. All birding interest and experience levels welcome!

Peter Trull has been involved in Research and Education for over 45 years. He holds a Master’s Degree in Education and has written nine books about Cape Cod natural history. His most recent book Birds of Paradox-The Life of Terns was released in spring 2019. His upcoming book, Cape Cod – Once Around the Sun, is a tribute to John Hay and his 1961 classic Nature’s Year.
