Birding Field Classes
at Hinckleys Pond -- Herring River Headwaters Preserve

Please join us at Hinckleys Pond Herring River Headwaters Preserve this fall to search for birds of all species darting through the foliage. This wide-open expanse, bordered by woodlands and open water offers potential views of songbirds, raptors and waterfowl. Birds are on the move in October during post breeding dispersal. Migratory species are passing through and pausing to fuel up before continuing their lengthy journeys. Westerly winds and weather fronts bring birds to Cape Cod that may only be spotted in this region in fall and early winter. Field Naturalist and walk leader Peter Trull will immerse you into the life of birds while teaching about species identification, unique adaptations, and behaviors. All birding interest and experience levels welcome!

Dates:

Tuesday, Oct. 17th (8-10 a.m.)
Tuesday, Oct. 31st (8-10 a.m.)

Each walk is $20 per person.
